Week 15!

Hi,

Been absent for a while - seems hard to remember to do this sometimes and I really want to so I can remember how it feels!!

I hit my 10% goal this week - in fact went over ot by 1lb, so am now at 15.3. I am so pleased!!

I am definitely feeling the difference, have thrown some clothes cos they're too big, and some of my size 18 skirts and trousers I've only been able to get into for a few weeks feel loose already!!

I also feel healthier and don't get out of breath nearly so much - can't believe how unfit I was :-)

Nearly time to start looking further down in the wardrobe again for the next size down in my 'old' clothes - least I'm not having to buy new yet!! There was always a voice in the back of my head refusing to throw them out when they got too small - it would have meant admitting I would never loose the weight - glad I didn't now!!

Still walking the dog when we can, not every night cos my legs been very painful last few weeks - but as often as possible and feel much better for it - bizarre catch 22 were exercising is good for me but it also casues me pain!!

Still, I'm feeling incredibly motivated and determined to continue to goal!!

Week 8

Week eight and a little frustrated as have stayed the same again - I know 13lb loss over 8 weeks is really good but it would have been so cool to have reached my first stone this week!

Loss so far has been: 3lb, 3lb, STS, STS, 3lb, 1lb, 3lb, STS.

On the upside, I am still finding it easy to stay within points each day, and have got used to smaller portion sizes - even gave away some roast potatoes on Sunday in favour of some more veg! I just don't seem to be as hungry or want as much food which is a real plus.

I'm also finding I'm not missing anything either - the beauty of ww is you can eat what you want and nothing is 'banned' as long as you point it - but I am getting to the stage where I just don't want 'stodgy' or high point foods - they're just not worth spoiling my plan for! I think the sun is helping too, it's lovely being able to get out with the dog and seeing everything coming into blossom - Spring is lovely!

I am not going to let the STS get me off track, I know I will keep losing if I stick with it and I have no intention of giving up.

Took Minky out tonight in the woods and she found the deepest puddle of mud to wallow in - she was in it up her chest and kept wandering back in out of it like it was some luxury dog dip - Pete and I were in stitches - we now have one slightly damp but very happy dog asleep in front of the fireplace.

Minky, Pete & Sausage Rolls!

Thought you might like to see who I'm whittering about - my lovely other half Pete and the beautiful Minky - as you can see neither of them need to do the ww thing with me - both fit and healthy despite sharing sausage rolls!

Week Seven

Hi there,

Another 3lb gone this week - really pleased! Only 1lb away from my first stone, and I have now lost 5% of my starting weight, which is quite an acheivement. Some clothes are feeling looser, and although no-one has noticed yet, I am hopeful they will soon - I have always thought that weight loss is noticed quicker the smaller you are - if someone who is 10 stone loses 1 stone it's really noticeable, whereas when you bigger it takes a couple of stone for it to show.

I know I will start feeling it's really working when I can start getting back into some of those clothes that are packed in a suitcase at the bottom of my wardrobe - I know I have enough clothes in there to take me down about three sizes which is great - I don't want to spend loads of money on "interim" clothes, I would rather wait until I reach my goal and then really treat myself!!

This week has actually seemed easy - I know every week won't so I'm making the most of it :-) I even managed to walk out of Thorntons empty handed when Pete (my hubby) offered to buy me whatever I liked for Easter - I decided on a nice big hydrangea and a small box of Swiss chocs from M&S instead - the chocs are little and individually wrapped so it's easy not to eat too much - I can three for 2 points so they are a nice treat!

We have walked Minky every day this week which is good for all of us!! I have really enjoyed it and can already get to the top of our lane without getting out of breath which is great. We took her for an extra long walk yesterday and went to the top of May Hill for the first time - we've always turned back halfway up before! It was worth it - the views are amazing and we had a really quiet well behaved dog all evening :-)

Week six

I lost 1lb last week, which I was a bit disappointed with intitally, and then I thought to myself, hang on a minute, that's a whole lb, gone forever!

I had a bad couple of days at the start of this week, starting with a buffet lunch at work on monday, which took me five points over, then had a weak moment on Tuesday and ate 6 chocolate digestives! That was 9 points!

However I am determined not to do what I have in the past, and use that as a reaosn to just eat what I like then give up. I just had soup for dinner last night to make up for the biscuits, and I have managed to save 5 points today, filled up on veggies and fruit!

WI not until next Monday, so I can save the other 2.5 points over the next day or two and hopefully be on track for a loss this week too! I'm hoping to lose 2lb this week and 2lb next, that would be 1 stone in 8 weeks which I'd be really pleased with.

I have been having lovely walks with hubby and dog after work every day, which is good for all of us! Minky is loving it and she had a great play with a couple of labs on the way round today, so now she's zonked and looking very cute.

Weeks one to five with weightwatchers

Never done this before so here goes....

I started WW (this time round!) five weeks ago after getting on the scales and realising I had hit 17 stone - I was horrified! In 2006 when I first met my husband I had just lost three stone and was 13.5, so I have managed to put back on all I had lost and added some too.

However I am please to report that after a shaky couple of weeks I have lost a total of 9lb so far, and I can already feel a couple of pairs of trousers getting loose which is great!

So, here is how its gone so far and why....

Week 1 -3lb, week 2 -3lb, week 3 STS, week 4 STS, week 5 -3lb

The two STS (stayed the same) weeks were really annoying, but I think I (or rather my clever husband) worked out why - leaving me feeling slightly daft! I had forgotten to count the sugar in my coffee, which at 10 cups a day totted up to 5 points a day over - which considering points allowance for the is 24 points means I was going considerably over every day - ooops!

Fortunately I seem to have found the motivation from somewhere not to let the STS weeks knock me off track, and sticking with the plan has payed off so far - week 6 WI tomorrow so fingers crossed!

I have to say at this point the Weightwatchers 5+ stone to lose boards have been a fantastic support - thanks guys!
